Icelandic Sheep

The Icelandic sheep have a dual coated fleece consisting of a long outer fleece called the Tog and a fine inner coat called the Thel. When used in knitted garments, these features can give added wind and rain protection. Icleandics originated in Iceland and are considered one of the oldest and purest breeds of sheep. Pineland Farms began its flock of Icelandic sheep with four registered ewes (female sheep) and one ram (a male sheep).
