"Riding with Confidence" is a 2-day clinic for riders featuring Dr. Jenny Susser, July 1-2, 2014 AND August 23-24, 2014. Both days will begin with an hour lecture on Sport Psychology aimed on helping the participants begin forming a new foundation of mental toughness. Auditors and riders alike will learn how to improve their focus and self-confidence, two integral parts of riding better mentally. Then, riders will get on their horses and ride. With auditors, your trainer (or ours), and a sport psychologist, the rider will likely feel as nervous as ever. At this stage, Dr. Jenny will help the rider develop confidence and learn new ways to control the physical responses to fear. If your fear to ride is too great, then participate as an auditor and learn from those who come to ride. You'll feel nervous enough watching and will also get one-on-one time during the breaks. Each day will finish with a Q & A discussion to solidify the day's learning. Click here to register for July's clinic; click here to register for August's clinic.

Tuesday, December 9 and Wednesday, December 10, 2014

Pineland Farms' and other selected riders will work with FEI 5* Judges Clarke and Rockwell in demonstrating how to ride and train for competition. A variety of levels will be represented over the 2-day Symposium. Space is limited, riders and auditors of all levels are welcome. USEF Judges and USDF L Judges are encouraged to attend and be part of the discussion by sharing their biggest "pet peeves" about test riding.

Day 1 (Tuesday) will showcase riders going through their warm-up and riding some movements from their appropriate level. Clarke & Rockwell will highlight the movements done with quality, and they will work with riders to improve the precision of the move difficult parts. Day 2 (Wednesday) will continue this theme with riders performing their whole test, followed by commentary from the judges.

Auditor/rider forms may be downloaded here or email to request one.
