Recreational Opportunities at Pineland

Pineland has over 5,000 acres of beautiful woodlands and fields which are open to the public for various outdoor activities.

Our exceptional outdoor facilities include approximately 25 kilometers of professionally designed, well-kept trails for biking and walking. We are enthusiastic about providing year-round activities, including trail running, walking and hiking, orienteering, mountain biking, tennis, Nordic skiing, dry-land Nordic ski training and ice skating.

The Outdoor Center is located on the first floor of the Welcome Center on the Pineland Campus and offers equipment for rent or sale.

Our outdoor facilities also support activities related to our Education Programs, such as nature observance, natural history and ecology studies.

Please be aware that Pineland Farms does not allow dogs on the premises, in an effort to ensure the greatest safety of all visitors to the farm and for the safety of Pineland Farms' animals.

Pathfinders Trail Run—5K Race and Kids' Fun Run

When: Saturday, September 27, 2008
Time: 9:00 AM

Excerpt from the Pathfinders Trail Run website:
The Pathfinders Trail Run is a benefit race for the Gray New Gloucester Athletic Boosters. The course will take you on a 5K loop through the beautiful woods of Pineland Farms. These are world class X-country trails with a few challenging areas but a very doable race for the novice. Often hawks, turkeys, deer, fox and other wildlife can be seen along the run.

As race directors we hope that you will come and enjoy a wonderful day of camaraderie and athleticism

Dave and Karen Eldridge
